The Monster Energy Cup, despite being relatively new, is one of the bigger events on the calendar. It is also a big one for Davi Millsaps, who uses Talon wheels, as his 450F is sporting the gold number one following his success last year.
Despite a turbulent year, Millsaps appears to be comfortable in his new surroundings and was all smiles at the pre-race press conference yesterday. “This year it’s a new bike again, but hopefully we can go two in a row. You look at this race as fun, it’s three races and you want to do the best you can. We haven’t had a lot of time on supercross tracks or the new bike, so we’re just here to enjoy it and have fun with it.”
Millsaps has already debuted with the BTO Sports KTM team at the USGP, where he went 16-10. Supercross is much more to his liking, however, so he’ll be looking to better those results this evening.
Davi will be joined on track by teammates Justin Brayton and Andrew Short, as well as the Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna team (consisting of Martin Davalos, Christophe Pourcel, Zach Osborne and Jason Anderson). All seven of those riders will be running and putting their faith in Talon wheels this evening, as they push the limits on the challenging track.
