Tyco Suzuki Team News 2103 – Taylor Mackenzie January Blog

In his first blog of 2013 – Taylor tells us about his time in LA and his ‘You’ve Been Framed’ home video…

I headed over to Los Angeles at the end of December to continue my preparation for the 2013 season. The sun shone every day during the trip, so I got to do some really good training while I was over there.

I cycled and ran every day and I also managed to find a local gym, where I was put through my paces by ‘Rick’. Before I was introduced to Rick I was told, ‘he makes grown men cry’ and they weren’t wrong!

I also managed to get to the AMA Supercross round at Anaheim. I’ve followed the series on TV so to be able to see the first round live was awesome.

Since we got home I’ve been continuing my 2013 season preparations, with endless hours spent staring at gym walls, but I’m sure it will all be worth it.

Whilst most people headed indoors when the snow came, I took full advantage and rode my motocross bike in the back garden every day in it. The snow’s gone now, and unfortunately for Mum her garden has seen better days, as I had no front brake this morning and went straight into the greenhouse!

The good news is, Dad got it all on video so hopefully the £250 from ‘you’ve been framed’ can pay for the damage. All good fun though and I can’t wait to put it all into practice on my Tyco Suzuki GSX-R600 at the beginning of March when we begin testing.
